Choosing the correct floor deck product to suit your project specification can be challenging as there are many factors that need to be considered.

These include span, composite beam design, slab design, loadings and construction methods.  The most suitable product will depend on which of these criteria is your driving factor.

They are used as in important structural element in schools, universities, hospitals, stadiums, office blocks, car parks, exhibition centres, airports and railway developments. All three decks are supplied in thicknesses of 0.9mm, 1.0mm and 1.2mm, with structural grades of either S350 or S450. 
 
Hot-dipped galvanised steel coil specifications used as the raw material are certified as conforming to EN 10346:2009 (Yield and Chemical & Mechanical Properties) and EN 10143:2006 (Tolerances on Shape and Dimension). All these mill test certificates, as well as Firth Steels’ own for the manufactured product, can be supplied with each floor decking product delivered.

These 3 profiles are manufactured under licence for Structural Metal Decks (SMD), who can offer these materials as 'supply only' or 'fully fixed'. This strategic venture combined together has produced and installed an impressive array of structural steel projects both in the UK and overseas.
