What is an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)?

An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is a third-party-verified document that outlines a product’s environmental impact throughout its lifecycle, from raw material extraction and manufacturing to installation and end-of-life.

Each EPD is based on a full Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and produced in accordance with recognised international standards, including:

EN 15804
ISO 14025
ISO 21930

Rather than assumptions or average values, an EPD provides measurable data on key performance indicators such as:

Embodied carbon (Global Warming Potential – GWP).
Resource and energy use.
Water consumption.
Waste generation.
